Imagine signs an agreement with the Ministry of Health of Mozambique

A strategic step for the future of Fondazione Imagine’s international projects comes from Mozambique, where Fabrizio Falcone, Head of the Mozambique Office and Co-founder of the Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministero della Salute del Mozambico.

The agreement marks the beginning of a structured collaboration aimed at strengthening the national healthcare system and improving the quality of life of local communities, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable areas.

The Memorandum outlines a framework of cooperation focused on public health promotion, the prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, and the improvement of health literacy among the population. Planned actions include education and awareness activities within communities, the dissemination of key messages on hygiene, prevention, and healthy lifestyles, as well as the promotion of existing health programs at national, provincial, and district levels.

A distinctive element of the agreement is the use of our mobile cinema, which will bring educational content directly to communities. Film screenings, discussions with health professionals, and informational sessions will become practical opportunities to strengthen the connection between communities and healthcare services, fostering greater awareness on prevention and health-related issues.

The Memorandum also предусматриes the development of local capacities in audiovisual production and health communication, along with the organization of campaigns dedicated to epidemic prevention and the promotion of healthy behaviors. Activities will be carried out in close collaboration with institutions and with the active involvement of communities, ensuring a sustainable and long-term impact.

With an initial duration of three years, the agreement represents a concrete and structured partnership designed to generate meaningful and lasting change in Mozambique’s healthcare system and in people’s living conditions.
