In Ethiopia: a new operational phase begins
Fondazione Imagine opens a new chapter in its international work with the arrival in Ethiopia of Andrea Borgarello, Director of the Foundation, and Matteo Crespan, who have reached the capital Addis Abeba.
The purpose of the visit is clear: to define, together with local partners, the strategies and organization of upcoming activities on the ground, while further strengthening existing collaborations. This marks a key step toward a new operational phase for the Foundation’s projects in the country.
Among the main initiatives is Borena A.S.P.I.R.E.S., implemented together with CESVI and funded by the Italian Ministry of the Interior. The project will bring the Foundation’s mobile cinema to southern Ethiopia, in the Borena Zone, to engage communities through awareness activities on sustainable agriculture and pastoralism, community resilience, and socio-economic inclusion.
Another important step is the launch of a collaboration with Creative Hub, a local organization active in the creative and cultural sector.
Finally, the meeting with ECES marks progress on a social communication and active citizenship project, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The initiative will involve local media operators, promoting accurate and responsible information as a driver for community development.
